HELLO!

I'm graduated! Real world, hello nice to meet you. The student show opens today. I'm so excited, it's finally here. Everything is done and ready and now I've just got to pick out my party dress.



Anyone coming over here from seeing my wall, welcome! Also I made this blog into my website again, after a few weeks of having an ugly fake website somewhere else. To the right are links to my gallery and my store. Look at me taking advantage of established resources. The gallery is Flikr and the store is Lulu. I also made an Etsy but I have to find my camera cord before I can list anything on there. Build your own website, for dummies and lazies and CRAFTIES. I'm crafty. I should run a seminar.

I finished my zombie book finally!!!


Here are some pictures of it.











The display copy is printed on really nice matte paper and glued together and bound by hand. It was expensive to print and too time consuming to construct to consider making very many like this, unforch. I'm going to send out to get a bunch printed at this copyshop I used to work at, and then cut em out real nice and saddle stich them. Those'll be on sale at the CCS Student show for 5 bucks.

COOL

The MINI show was a big hit! There was so much food, it was greater than I even imagined. Burgers, hotdogs, pickles, tacos, meatballs, pizzas and cookies. Except tiny.

I thought my work looked pretty cool all tiny and in a line, because you could get up real close and every picture was like a secret. Everything is 4 in. x 4 in., mounted on foam core.

I finished my dating advice book!
Finally! I ordered it today, I hope it arrives soon and looks good and everything.

COOL!

This is a sponsored project from Somerset mall. They are making the winning designs into reusable shopping bags. I entered in three times and here are my entries. I had some versions where I incorporated the slogan "you belong here" but I took them all out because it looked creepy. Instead the legs and the star are the slogan. I wanted to keep it really simple. Also, I think I can finally stop drawing street plans of Detroit.







I'm really glad this project is over. I've been awake since 7 am yesterday, and I can't decide whether to push through the pain and do some work on my dating book now, or try and wake up late tonight and start a nocturnal lifestyle.

The red are the regular humans and the yellow are the zombies.

Oh man, I am so glad this project is over. Short deadlines are exhilarating. Zebras are weird.
